10 Ways to Get More Than 90% on Your 10th and 12th Board Exams
As I previously stated, whether you score more than 70%, 80%, or 90% in the board exam is entirely dependent on your hard work from the start of 12th grade. Now, as a result of my case study, here are my tips and suggestions for getting a good grade in your class.
1. Regularity
Classroom lectures and tuition classes are not part of regular studies. Regular self-study sessions are referred to as "regularity" in this context. Aside from all of the lectures and classes, make time for self-study.
Make self-study a regular practise if you want to do well on exams.
2. Keep your syllabus book close at hand – Mind It.
Yes, I've seen a number of my students fall behind the big heavyweight reference books, and they undervalue their syllabus books, such as NCERT in the case of the board exam.
These syllabus books are ideal for practise. Have you ever noticed how high-achieving students always stick to the syllabus textbooks? This is because they understand the true value of that key to success book.
Reference books are useful for studying, but only for students who plan to take competitive exams after the 12th grade. However, if you truly want to increase your percentage, I believe you should stick to your syllabus textbooks.
Adhere to the Syllabus:
All of the syllabus books in any board exam are designed strictly according to the syllabus, and no question has ever come out of the syllabus in the history of board exams.
So, in my opinion, you should avoid using reference books because you are studying for your 12th grade, not to be selected for NASA.
3. Learning and Practicing
I frequently hear students discuss skipping their internals. The reason for this is that the scores are not recorded. Other than board exams, no other exams are important.
It is critical to pay close attention to all lectures and comprehend the chapter. At the same time, it is critical to practise more and more questions. Yes, I am referring to time management; it is one of the major factors influencing grades. You are not a child; every student understands the concept of time management, but only a few of them take it seriously when studying for board exams.
It's your 12th grade. You will never see the school again in your life, and believe me, you will never study with the same zeal as you do now. So, why not make this preparation more beautiful and intelligent by incorporating time management?
The management of time:
So, let me go over some key points in time management for board exam preparation.
- If you do, stop sleeping for 8 hours and instead sleep for 5 to 6 hours, saving your 2 hours from there.
- In the morning, study subjects such as chemistry, biology, and economics. This will assist you in retaining a long-term memory of whatever you learned while reading in the morning.
- Take advantage of free time at school, such as sports periods and curriculum activities. Practice logical subjects such as math, physics, accounting, and so on. Trust me when I say that reading or practising in your school's free time will save you a lot of time.
- You should not join or continue things like coaching classes, etc. during the last three months of your preparation. Use that time for self-study and note-taking.
- Believe me, self-study will help you understand things much better.
- If you really want to get a 90+ on your board exams, you should study at least 8 hours a day. Because this is the only way to achieve such a high percentage.
- Divide your study time evenly among your main subjects. But don't forget to study subjects like Hindi, English, and so on because they can help you increase your percentage.
Overall, you must study at least 8 hours per day and 9 to 10 hours on holidays such as Sunday. This seems insane, studying like this, but the 90+ achievers did it and increased their percentage.
6. The best way to prepare is to practise with sample and previous year papers.
I'm not sure why the students don't understand the worth of old assets. Again, there are a large number of students who spend a lot of money on reference books but never look at previous year papers.
Maano Ya Na Maano, previous year papers are essential for achieving a mind-blowing percentage in your 12th class. Don't squander your money on such pricey and bulky books. Today, the internet reigns supreme, allowing you to find anything, at any time.
Previous year's papers are useful because they will:
- Let you know how difficult the questions are.
- It aids in determining the repeating sequence of questions because some cute questions appear on every board exam.
- It aids in determining your true level of securing marks.
So, don't waste time and download the previous year papers linked above if you haven't already. And begin resolving them. In addition to solving previous year papers, you can practise sample papers and guess papers. These papers also aid in forecasting your future grades.
7. Don't undervalue ENGLISH – especially among CBSE students.
Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology, Accounts, Economics, and so on. Do you remember you have another subject called English ?
Not everyone, but a large number of students, do not take this subject seriously, and as a result, this subject is blamed for the drop in overall percentage.
Subjects such as English can be used as a boost in achieving a high percentage; all you need to do is study it at least once a week. 8. Answers and Presentation Techniques

Because you will be taking your exam in writing, you should be able to write quickly. Along with speed, neat writing is essential. So, in addition to preparing for your boards, do some written practise.
A good deal of written practise will help you improve your writing speed as well as your writing skills. And both are critical to completing your exam successfully and on time.
9. What to Do and What Not to Do on Exam Day
According to my eighth point, you should go to bed earlier the night before the exam. Take a good 8-hour nap and get up early in the morning. Open your study materials and do a quick review of all the topics.
Do not lose faith if you discover that something needs to be studied further. Let it be, and don't ruin all the other topics because of it.
You completed the 10th grade, which provided you with experience for board exams. Do you remember how, just before the exam, a number of students were fumbling around with their notes, books, and other belongings? Perhaps you were one of them.
So, did the struggle you went through right before the exam help you in any way? No, the answer is emphatically no, and this activity has even more negative effects on grades. So, never study right before an exam.

You have spent an entire year preparing for the board exam, and the hours of examination time are the last moments of those subjects in the 12th grade, so do not waste them. Use these hours as effectively as possible. Don't rush out of the exam room after finishing it; instead, wait until the very last second of the exam. Check your answer sheet twice, three times, and again and again. You are completely incorrect if you believe you have done everything correctly.
Find and fix your stupid mistakes. Add small design elements to your answer sheet to make it look nice. Check your 1 mark questions once more.
