Allotment/distribution of 20 thousand meritorious laptops has been postponed due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to Shimla on May 31. The Directorate of Higher Education has postponed the program of allotment/distribution of laptops till the first week of June in view of the national program to be held in Shimla on the completion of eight years of the Central Government. For the very first time, laptops with modern technology worth Rs 41,550 will be given to the meritorious studying in schools and colleges.
New expected date for laptop distribution in Himachal Pradesh 2022 - 6 June, 2022
At the time of the former governments, laptops worth 10 to 12 thousand rupees have been given. Laptops are to be given to 18-20 thousand meritorious scholars of the academic session 2018-19 and 2019-20. Laptops are to be given to scholars of class 10th and class 12th and meritorious students of colleges in the merit list.
