Zara Phythian, best known for her role in the 2016 Marvel film Doctor Strange, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl, BBC News reports. Her husband Victor Markey was also found guilty of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl and sentenced to 14 years in prison.
BBC News quoted Judge Mark Watson as telling Fitian during Judge Mark Watson's decision, "While you denied at cross-examination that you were linked with Victor Markey, on the evidence I have heard I have no doubt that Your divergence was shaped by the effect it had on you since childhood." The judge also said that Markey was "the driving force behind the abuse".
