After waiting for two years in Himachal Pradesh, 9700 meritorious students will get laptops this month. Himachal Pradesh Electronics Corporation has completed the process of selection of company for laptop purchase.
For two years the meritorious students were waiting for the laptop. In the first phase, the education department will provide laptops to the meritorious people of the tribal district of Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur. After that it will be supplied to other districts. The supply of laptops is to be given in the state within one and a half months of placing the supply order. It is proposed to get laptops for 8800 students of class 10th and 12th and 900 meritorious students of colleges.

Although the purchase of laptops has been completed but there is no news of distribution by the administration yet. According to some sources, the laptop distribution was to be held on April 15. The list of candidates related to laptop distribution has also been released on the deputy director of higher education sites of each district.
It is possible that distribution of laptops will start soon. It is expected that the process of laptop distribution will be started within 2 weeks.
