International Tiger Day is celebrated on 29 July every year worldwide to raise awareness about the conservation of wild cats.
Tigers has witnessed a massive drop of nearly 95% in its population in just last 150 years.

The Royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) serves as the national animal for India and Bangladesh.
The Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) proudly represents South Korea.
And finally, the Malayan tiger (Panthera tigris jacksoni) is the national animal of Malaysia.
3. There are approximately 3900 Tigers left in the world as per a survey report in 2021.
